About the site and the area Shropshire offers many attractions, recreational, historic and the great attraction of its stunning countryside and villages. Ley Hill Caravan Park is a small, friendly and quiet site, set in the Shropshire hills between Church Stretton and Ironbridge in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Large spacious area for tents (4 acres) so plenty of room to spread out with a maximum of 25 tents on site. The site has superb panoramic views of Caer Caradoc, Wenlock Edge and the south Shropshire countryside. Twelve terraced and secluded pitches (most hard standing) are screened by trees and mature shrubs, each pitch having its own 10 amp electric hook up. If you welcome tranquillity and enjoy the countryside this may well be the site for you. We are open from March to October. Please note that arrivals are after 12 noon and departures by 11am unless by prior arrangement.

Facilities on site The park accommodates Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and has the following on site facilities:-Toilets, Showers (no charge for hot showers), Chemical Disposal Point, Washing up facilities, limited Electric Hook-ups. Pets are Allowed but they must stay on the camping field only. Details of several walks from site have been printed and are available in the information room. Fires are allowed as long as in proper fire bin/pit and dependant on weather.
Local Facilities and Attractions off site Cardington, where you will find a small community, and a local country pub dating back to the 15th Century that serves food and local ales. Caer Caradoc its peak one of the most spectacular in Shropshire with the remains of an iron age hill-fort commanding views of the surrounding countryside. An excellent location for those interested in walking in the area. Ironbridge, the birthplace of the industrial Revolution, well worth a visit. Church Stretton, an attractive small town and a great starting point for walkers. Ludlow, Castle, Tudor & Georgian buildings and a host of antique shops. Shrewsbury, a medieval town, fine Tudor buildings and the best shopping in the area.

Directions to Site If coming on A49 Carry on to Leebotwood and do not turn at Longnor. From A49 at Leebotwood towards Cardington. At junction turn right and follow this lane for 3 miles. On entering the village take a sharp left onto lane signposted Chatwall and Acton Burnell. Site is on the right after ¾ of a mile.
